Through my practice of yoga I have always found release, increased stability and a general positivity. Over the years I found that my ‘hobby’ had become an important part of my life. I was encouraged by my teacher to pursue a training course; as a result, I completed the British Wheel of Yoga, Level 4 course.
For me yoga is an ongoing journey of exploration and development.
What really matters is the personal connection of Mind, Body and Breath. That lovely feeling when you finish a class, at one with everything around you, that pleasing ‘blank’, for once, in your mind. You’re not thinking of jobs, lists, meals etc… you’re just happy and chilled. I would like to be able to pass on the grounding that Hatha yoga gives to me.
If you are thinking of taking a class my advice is, whatever preconceived ideas you might have about yoga and your abilities, just let go of that!
Find the right teacher and more importantly enjoy it!
